Des Moines Public Relations Executive
Voted President Elect of Pinnacle Worldwide, Inc.
Des Moines and Minneapolis (Sept. 16, 2002) Pinnacle Worldwide, an international corporation of independently owned public relations firms celebrating its 26th year, has announced the election of Ronald C. Hanser, APR, Des Moines, as President Elect.
Hanser, President of Des Moines-based Hanser & Associates Public Relations, was elected to a two-year term beginning in September. He will continue to head Hanser & Associates.
Hanser is the first Iowa public relations executive to lead a global PR organization. He currently serves on the executive committee of Pinnacle Worldwide and has been a member of its board of directors since 1999.

Named Chairman for 2002/2004 is Henry A. de La Garza, APR, de La Garza Public Relations, Inc. (Houston); President, Larry Wheeler, Boasberg Wheeler Communications, Inc. (Kansas City); and Treasurer, David Marriott, Gogerty Stark Marriott (Seattle). All serve on the executive committee of Pinnacle.
At-large members of the executive committee are John Wells, Jackson Wells Morris Pty, Ltd., (Sydney); Peter Morrissey, APR, Morrissey & Company (Boston); and Donna Vandiver, The Vandiver Group (St. Louis).
Three regional Vice Presidents also serve as ex-officio members of the executive committee: Ruud Bijl, Bijl Partners in Public Relations (The Netherlands), European Vice-President; Yap Boh-Tiong, Mileage Communications Pte. Ltd. (Singapore), Asia/Pacific Vice President and Ray Casas, Wragg & Casas Public Relations, Inc. (Miami), Latin American Vice-President.
The election was conducted through worldwide balloting by the Pinnacle firms.
